Full job description

HLM Landscape team has an exciting opportunity for a Chartered Landscape Architect (CMLI) to join our growing team across the UK. We have a strong studio culture and a inspiring team who collaborate with our Architects, Masterplanners and Interior Designers as an integrated and inclusive approach to design.

We have a varied portfolio of work; across our sectors, which vary in scale and complexity. However experience of education projects for the DfE, the CEM process and SEN school design would be an advantage.

We are looking for talented individuals, who are creative, can lead projects and people, working as part of a team. You must a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual, with a passion for design and client satisfaction.

The Wave, Exterior Project of the Year at Education Property Awards 2025;

The Movement Public Realm, Greenwich;

RIBA Home 2030 Design Competition- Finalist;

Trent View College - Building Awards 2024;

LIHE - Life Sciences & Research Clusters Conference & Awards 2025

Candidates are required to have degree or masters training in the discipline of Landscape Architecture, and be a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute with the minimum of 3 years post Chartership experience within the UK;

Proven experience as a Project Leader, working across several projects and in multi-disciplinary team environments;

Excellent design skills;

Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentation;

Proven specification writing capability using NBS software;

Understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM);

Experience of CS Artisan RV;

Experience across all the RIBA workstages 0-7;

Excellent graphic skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop;

Excellent report writing skills using Adobe InDesign; and

Ability to mentor and support other members of the team through project development and Pathway to Chartership.

Experience with Biodiversity Net Gain and writing LEMP’s

The following skills would be desirable although not essential;

Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) experience

Heritage Lottery Funding experience

Horticultural knowledge
