Job Description
We’re recruiting for a Telephone Business Development Manager to join us. We’re offering a competitive base salary.
We’re looking for a Telephone Business Development Manager to join our Intermediary Protection sales team. This is a relationship-led sales role where you’ll work closely with advisers, helping them understand our individual protection products and supporting them to give their customers the right protection conversations.
You’ll be part of a busy, supportive and target-led team, working with your own account list across agreed regions. It’s a great move for someone who enjoys sales, likes building relationships over the phone and wants to work in a team where there’s support, trust and room to grow
What you'll be doing:
- Building strong relationships with advisers, practice principals, paraplanners and intermediary contacts
- Managing your own account list across agreed regions
- Making regular outbound calls and handling inbound adviser queries
- Introducing products, propositions, processes and services that support adviser conversations
- Following up leads from marketing campaigns, workshops and network events
- Presenting proposition information to help advisers build their knowledge
- Supporting pre-submission enquiries and owning follow-up actions
- Keeping up to date with products, competitors, markets and regulatory expectations
Who we're looking for:
- Sales experience in a telephone, account management, business development or adviser-facing environment
- Confidence building relationships by phone with different types of contacts
- A proactive approach to managing accounts, following up opportunities and keeping momentum
- Clear communication skills and the ability to explain products and propositions simply
- Commercial awareness and comfort working towards sales and quality targets
- Financial services, protection, mortgage, adviser or intermediary experience would be helpful but is not essential
- RO1, RO5 or other relevant qualifications would be desirable
