About Us
Curveball Leisure is a long-established ecommerce and distribution business operating within the video games, consoles, accessories, trading cards and collectables market.
Trading online as The Game Collection, we ship more than 250,000 orders each year to customers across the UK and internationally.
We are continuing to evolve how we trade online across ecommerce, marketplaces, digital merchandising and customer experience. As our systems, automation and marketplace capabilities develop, we are looking for someone who can contribute beyond basic administration and help improve how products are launched, discovered, merchandised and sold.
We're a passionate, down-to-earth team who genuinely love what we do. If you share that enthusiasm - for gaming, for ecommerce, or simply for doing things well - you'll fit right in.
The Role
We are looking for a Digital Trading & Content Administrator to help improve product visibility, launch readiness, content quality and customer discovery across our ecommerce channels.
This is not a traditional upload-only administration role.
Alongside maintaining accurate product listings and ecommerce content, the successful candidate will help identify opportunities to improve:
- product discoverability
- SEO/GEO visibility
- content quality
- sell-through
- workflow efficiency
- customer understanding
- supporting editorial or content initiatives that improve organic discovery and customer engagement.
The role combines ecommerce operations, digital content, trading support and commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, enrich and maintain product listings and SKU data across internal systems and Shopify.
- Improve product titles, descriptions, attributes and collections to support SEO/GEO and AI-driven discovery.
- Support pricing and promotional activity through accurate setup and trading coordination.
- Review competitor sites and market activity to identify opportunities or risks.
- Liaise proactively with publishers and distributors to obtain assets, release information and launch materials.
- Manage embargoes, launch timing and stock drops accurately.
- Build collections and merchandising structures that improve discoverability and conversion.
- Support creation of commercially relevant editorial, launch or SEO-focused content where it improves product discovery, customer engagement or organic visibility.
- Use AI and digital tools appropriately to support drafting, categorisation, reporting and workflow efficiency while maintaining human judgement.
- Identify weak or commercially underperforming product listings and recommend improvements.
- Produce simple insight around recurring issues, launch delays or workflow improvements.
- Work collaboratively with Ecommerce, Product, Marketing and Customer Service teams.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong written communication and attention to detail.
- Interest in ecommerce, online retail or digital trading.
- Comfortable working across systems and spreadsheets.
- Basic understanding of SEO/GEO principles - a genuine willingness to learn is what matters most. We'll provide the training and context to build your knowledge on the job.
- An interest in how content drives sales and customer behaviour - full training on our systems and tools will be provided. Confident using AI and digital tools responsibly.
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership.
- Able to identify problems and suggest practical improvements.
Desirable
- Experience with Shopify or ecommerce/CMS platforms.
- Experience within ecommerce, digital content, editorial content or online retail.
- Knowledge of gaming, collectables or entertainment products.
- Experience using Photoshop or similar tools.
- Familiarity with ecommerce reporting or marketplace systems.
What This Role Is Not
- It is not purely a data-entry role.
- It is not designed for someone who only wants instruction-based work.
- It is not about preserving inefficient manual processes.
- It is not purely about uploading products.
If you're curious, motivated and keen to grow - this is a role where you can genuinely build a career. We're a close-knit team who care about what we do, and we'll support you with the training and tools you need to thrive. If you're the kind of person who spots opportunities, takes initiative and wants to make a real difference to how we trade online, we'd love to hear from you.
