Here at Brownhills Ormiston Academy, we are looking for an exceptional Careers Advisor to inspire students to think about their future possibilities; to aim high, motivating them in school as well as beyond, ensuring they are informed about education, training and career options.
We are looking for a well organised, reliable, trustworthy and enthusiastic individual who will ensure the academy fulfils its duty to students by working with employers and others to inspire young people about the world of work and their future possibilities. They will ensure the academy is meeting the Gatsby Benchmarks and ensure we meet the National Quality Careers Mark standards. They will encourage students to aim high, motivate them in school as well as beyond, ensuring they are informed about education, training and career options. They will assess students’ current strengths and areas for development and enable them to acquire the skills valued by employers.
The role will be varied and busy and ideally suited to an organised and efficient individual with an eye for detail and accuracy, and who understands the importance of confidentiality and integrity in the workplace.
The successful candidate will possess clear communication skills and the ability to relate well to both students and staff. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate commitment, energy, and drive to join our team and work to provide positive learning experiences for all our students.
