Join our expert MRO team as a Manual Turner, where your machining skills will help keep aircraft flying safely. If you take pride in working to fine tolerances, enjoy precision engineering, and want to be part of a quality-driven environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Tasks

What will you be responsible for?

We are looking for an experienced Manual Turner to join our aircraft MRO team. You'll operate manual lathes to fine tolerances, producing precision aircraft components while working from technical drawings.
The role requires a high standard of workmanship, the ability to work independently, and a strong focus on quality, safety and environmental procedures.
You'll maintain your Practical Experience Record (PER), keep your work area to 5S standards, and may support the training of colleagues.
This is a 37.5-hour shift-based role with occasional overtime.

Requirements

What you’ll need?

Minimum 5 years' experience operating manual lathes to fine tolerances.
Machine shop technology training and strong machining knowledge.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
GCSEs (or equivalent) and fluent written and spoken English.
Experience with manual/CNC milling and grinding is desirable.
Able to work independently with excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
Flexible to work rotating shifts and overtime when required.
Willing to complete mandatory training and follow safety procedures.
