Technical Support & Calibration Technician (Office-Based)
Location: Baynards Green, near Bicester
About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Technical Support & Calibration Technician to join our team at our offices in Baynards Green, near Bicester. This is an office-based role supporting customers and carrying out calibration and testing of equipment. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our products and services meet quality and compliance standards while providing friendly, effective technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to customers via phone and email
- Perform calibration, testing, and basic fault-finding on equipment in line with company procedures
- Maintain accurate calibration records, certificates, and documentation
- Book in/out equipment and manage job tracking through internal systems
- Prepare equipment for return to customers (labelling, packaging, documentation)
- Assist with stock control, parts management, and basic workshop organisation
- Support quality processes and compliance with relevant standards (e.g. ISO 13485 / ISO 17025, if applicable)
- Liaise with engineers, sales, and admin teams to resolve customer queries
- Follow health & safety procedures and maintain a tidy working environment
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Basic technical aptitude (electronics, mechanical, or instrumentation experience is a plus)
- Confident using computers and MS Office/Excel
- Clear communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Desirable:
- Previous experience in calibration, testing, technical support, or a similar technical role
- Familiarity with quality systems or calibration standards
- Experience working in an office/workshop environment
