Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Wraparound Care Venue Lead to oversee and coordinate child-focused activities within our sites in Poole Dorset. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children and young people. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, develop programmes, and support children’s well-being and development through organised activities and personalised care. Prior experience in childcare or teaching is highly valued, along with a passion for supporting young people's growth.
Duties
- Lead the organisation and delivery of wraparound care programmes tailored to children’s needs, ensuring activities are inclusive, fun, and educational.
- Supervise staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care and safety are maintained.
- Coordinate with parents, carers, and external agencies to develop personalised care plans for children requiring additional support.
- Organise daily schedules, including activity planning, meal times, and rest periods, ensuring smooth operation of the venue.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times, conducting regular safety checks and risk assessments.
- Manage administrative tasks such as attendance records, incident reports, and programme evaluations.
- Foster an environment of respect, inclusion, and encouragement for all children attending the venue.
- Drive programme promotion through community outreach initiatives to increase engagement.
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare, teaching, nannying or similar roles with a strong understanding of child development.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to supervise staff effectively whilst maintaining a positive team environment.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs or outreach activities.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children’s well-being and development.

Pay: £12.21-£17.54 per hour
