Based in Christchurch, Dorset, with regular travel across our parks in Dorset, Hampshire, Devon, Somerset and the Cotswolds, we are looking for a Product Owner – Business Insight (Data & Analytics) to join our IT Product and Systems team.
This role owns how we use data across the business, from SQL and data structures through to Power BI dashboards and insight. It focuses on improving performance, shaping change, and ensuring the business has clear, reliable visibility of what is happening and why.
We are looking for someone who is confident working hands-on with data, can design and build reporting and dashboards, and enjoys turning complex information into clear, commercially focused insight that supports decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Own and prioritise the Business Insight roadmap, ensuring reporting, data development, and analytical work are aligned to business priorities and commercial value.
- Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting end-to-end, from data model through to visualisation, ensuring outputs are clear, reliable, and decision-ready.
- Work directly with data using SQL, shaping and analysing data to answer business questions and deliver insight.
- Translate stakeholder questions into structured analysis and reporting, focusing on what is driving performance across the business.
- Improve how insight is delivered, moving from reactive reporting to proactive, insight-led decision support.
- Work with Product, Systems, and business teams to improve data quality, data structures, and overall reporting capability.
Skills:
Experience building Power BI dashboards end-to-end, including data modelling, DAX, and report design using data from multiple sources such as Azure SQL and Microsoft Dataverse.
Strong SQL capability, with confidence in writing and optimising queries to extract and analyse data.
A good understanding of data modelling concepts such as relationships, structured datasets, and star schemas.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify what is driving performance and turn this into clear, actionable insight.
Confidence working with stakeholders across the business and communicating complex information in a practical way.
A curious and proactive mindset, with a genuine interest in understanding the “why” behind the data.
Qualifications & Experience:
Strong hands-on experience working in a structured data, BI, or analytical role within a commercial or operational business, with ownership of reporting and insight delivery.
Strong SQL Server experience, including writing, optimising, and structuring queries to support reporting and analysis.
Proven experience building Power BI dashboards and data models from scratch, including the use of DAX for measures and calculations.
A good understanding of data modelling concepts such as relationships, structured datasets, and star schema design.
Experience delivering end-to-end reporting solutions, from data extraction and transformation through to dashboard delivery and ongoing optimisation.
Experience working with stakeholders to translate requirements into reporting and actionable insight.
Experience in leisure, hospitality, or a multi-site operational environment is helpful but not essential.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) or similar are preferred.
This is a full-time, permanent role (37.5 hours per week), based at our Group Support office in Christchurch. The role is primarily office-based, with hybrid working considered and an expected minimum of 3 days per week on site. Occasional travel to our parks is required as part of the role.
