We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business & Finance Coordinator. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a varied role, with approximately 50% of the position spent working within and joining the Finance Department as part of the finance team. In this capacity, you will support finance administration, reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting and process improvement activity.
The remaining part of the role supports the Finance Director with wider business operation needs, including business systems, governance, compliance, procurement, project coordination, management reporting and business improvement initiatives. The role offers broad commercial exposure while maintaining a clear foundation in the finance team.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Work as part of the Finance Department for approximately 50% of the role, supporting day-to-day finance activity, reporting and administration.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, management reporting and business case preparation.
- Prepare KPI dashboards, management reports, presentations and business performance reviews.
- Analyse business, operational and financial data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Support finance process improvements, reporting tools, business systems and data quality initiatives.
- Provide business support to the Finance Director across wider operational priorities and leadership requirements.
- Coordinate and support strategic and operational projects, tracking actions, priorities and progress.
- Assist with governance, compliance, audits, policies and company records.
- Maintain project documentation, risk registers, action logs and business records.
- Support procurement, supplier administration and other commercial activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and digital transformation projects across the business.
Requirements
- Postgraduate qualification or working towards a professional qualification.
- Strong interest in finance, accounting processes, business performance and commercial analysis.
- Confident working as part of a finance team while also supporting wider business operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 capability.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to work with senior stakeholders.
- A proactive, adaptable approach and willingness to take ownership.
- Experience with Power BI, ERP systems or project management methodologies would be advantageous.
