About the Role

Enterprise Business Services is National Grid’s shared service organisation that operates core end-to-end processes on behalf of the global functions and operates Engineering Services on behalf of the business units.

We have a great opportunity for a Business Change Lead to support a global portfolio of change across our Record to Report team, working with colleagues across the UK, US and our Business Process Outsourcer in India. The role will play a key part in supporting major transformation activity, including the implementation of our next-generation ERP platform, which will modernise and simplify core finance processes, and Kraken, which will help transform how we manage customer and operational service activity. The portfolio will also include change associated with AI and automation, new vendor relationships and continuous improvement to our operating model.

The role can be based in either the UK or the US and will operate as part of a global leadership team, working with colleagues across both regions to deliver change effectively. Periodic travel between the UK and US will be expected to support stakeholder engagement, team collaboration and successful delivery of the change portfolio.

What You'll Do

Change Strategy and Case for Change: Develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage while minimizing resistance. Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, and resistance management plan.
Communications and Engagement: Develop a communications strategy and approach. Deliver communications that inform and engage stakeholders about the change. Ensure that messages are clear, consistent, and aligned with the overall change strategy. Design and maintain consistent two-way feedback loops to gather stakeholder input, identify emerging concerns, and inform ongoing change and engagement activities.
Business Readiness: Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders. Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training programs. Develop and implement plans to ensure the organization is ready for the change. Identify, assess, and confidently escalate business readiness risks and concerns to leadership, providing clear recommendations for mitigation and decision-making.
Training and Capability Uplift: Support training efforts by providing input, documenting requirements, and supporting the design and delivery of training programs. Ensure that training materials are aligned with the change management strategy.
Business Adoption and Benefits Realisation: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change management activities. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Change Governance and Planning: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for change initiatives. Conduct readiness assessments to assess the size, nature, and impact of organizational change.

What You'll Need

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) certification or Strong understanding of the CCMP framework and its application in change management.
Proven experience in change management and large-scale transformations, preferably within a large organization.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders spread out over a geographical location.
Stakeholder Management: Establish and build relationships with project sponsors and key stakeholders. Conduct readiness assessments to assess the size, nature, and impact of organizational or business change. Facilitate recurring Record to Report leadership engagement forums to provide strategic change advisement, surface emerging risks and concerns, and support informed decision-making.
Ability to Influence and Lead Change: Inspire and motivate others to achieve organizational goals. Build trust and credibility with stakeholders and establish a shared purpose and alignment around the change initiative.
Leadership & Vision: Ability to inspire and motivate others, articulate a clear vision for change and guide the organisation towards achieving it.
Communication and Engagement: Effective communication skills to convey the need for change and engage stakeholders throughout the process to support building awareness, desire and commitment amongst the business. Develop compelling executive-level presentations and change narratives that translate complex impacts into clear, actionable insights and help leaders understand the employee and business experience of change. Develop and deliver proactive, organization-wide communications that keep the RtR organization informed of upcoming changes, business impacts, key milestones, and required actions, while clearly connecting day-to-day role impacts to broader RtR strategic priorities and transformation objectives.
Organizational Change Management Experience: previous knowledge and understanding of organizational change management practices (such as PROSCI, ADKAR, Kotter and so on) to support with iterative and agile working.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Being able to understand how different stakeholders groups are impacted by changes, what it means for them on a day to day basis and helping them embed new ways of working.
Project Lifecycle Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of project management methodologies and lifecycle phases, with the ability to align, sequence, and integrate change management deliverables with overall project plans, milestones, dependencies, and decision points.
Growth Mindset & Curiosity: Being curious and having a growth mindset by learning about new change management ways of working and approaches to managing change.

What You'll Get

A competitive salary of up to £74,0000 – dependent on capability.

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance with on target being 15% (with a maximum of 30%) and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. You will also have access to several flexible benefits such as a share incentive plan, salary sacrifice car and technology schemes, support via employee assistance lines and matched charity giving to name a few.
