The Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Solar Installer to join our team.

The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Plan, coordinate, and install solar PV systems on commercial properties.

· Manage crew and other installers, maintaining metrics and meeting quantitative and qualitative goals (safety, efficiency, quality, productivity).

· Conduct site assessments to determine the suitability and optimal placement of solar panels.

· Ensure the safety of all team members, adhering to all safety protocols and standards during installation

· Provide toolbox talks and project briefings to other site operatives on the project delivery team.

· Collaborate with the design team to ensure proper layout and integration of the system.

· Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on existing solar PV systems.

· Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

· Complete necessary documentation and Quality reporting for each project.

· Conduct necessary project safety documentation and inspections.

· Provide excellent customer service and address any client concerns or queries.

· Stay updated with the latest industry trends, products, and best practices.

Essential Skills:

· Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience solar or construction projects preferred

· Proficient in using hand tools

· Ability to read and work from technical drawings and measurement specs

· Physically fit and comfortable working with large materials and equipment

· Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision

· Commitment to health & safety practices and use of PPE

Other

· Must be legally entitled to work in the UK and/or EU and be fluent in English.

· Flexibility to travel to project sites around the UK

· Preferred SSSTS/SMSTS or equivalent qualification
