Job Title: Trainee Mortgage Adviser / Paraplanner
Location: Watford (Office-based)
Salary: £23,500 – £25,000 per annum + Bonus + Benefits
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Usual Working Pattern: Monday–Thursday shifts, alternating 9.00-17.00 and 10.00-18.00, Friday 9.00-17.30.
One Saturday shift per month (overtime 09:00 to 14:00)

The Role
As a Trainee Mortgage Adviser / Paraplanner, you will gain hands-on experience supporting our experienced advisers while taking your first steps toward a professional qualification. You’ll be involved in a variety of client-focused and administrative tasks that are essential to delivering an outstanding service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Guiding clients through fact-find calls to assess their needs and financial situation
- Accurately recording and processing client information
- Working closely with experienced advisers on real mortgage cases
- Delivering excellent customer service via phone, email, and text
- Taking your first steps toward CeMAP 1 qualification, fully supported with training and mentoring
About You
We are looking for a motivated, confident, and people-oriented individual who is eager to start a career in mortgages and finance.
You will ideally demonstrate:
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Strong multitasking, organisation, and attention to detail
- Confidence in client interactions
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM systems
No prior mortgage experience is required—full training will be provided.
