Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Sushi Chef, where your passion for Japanese cuisine and mastery of sushi preparation will shine! In this role, you’ll craft sushi dishes that delight our guests and elevate their dining experience.

Your expertise in knife skills and presentation will be essential in creating authentic, visually stunning sushi. We’re looking for energetic, detail-oriented professionals eager to showcase their skills in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Prepare sushi and sashimi with precision and consistency to meet high-quality standards
Assemble sushi rolls, nigiri, and other Japanese delicacies following established recipes and techniques
Maintain a clean and organised workstation adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy hours
Innovate new sushi creations to enhance menu offerings and excite our guests
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs for restocking or quality concerns

Experience

Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant setting
Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling
Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices in a culinary environment
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude
Certification in food safety is required
