Job Introduction

Autism Anglia is a well-established independent Charity. We have an exciting opportunity available for a Facilities Management Co-ordinator to ensure an integrated, quality service.

Location

Head Office, Autism Anglia, Colchester Business Park, Highwoods, Colchester, Essex, CO4 9YQ

Salary

From £25,000 to £27,000 FTE, depending on experience

Hours

Full-time: 35 hours per week

About the role

Provide administrative support to the Facilities Management team, responding efficiently to maintenance requests and property issues across charity locations.
Coordinate contractors, obtain and compare quotations, and arrange maintenance works in line with budgets and value-for-money principles.
Ensure contractors are appropriately vetted, with required insurance, certifications, and RAMS in place before works commence.
Maintain and update the approved supplier database and monitor contractor performance and response times.
Support budget monitoring by tracking expenditure and escalating any financial concerns to management.
Manage the charity's vehicle fleet administration, including servicing, MOTs, maintenance scheduling, mileage records, and compliance requirements.
Assist in maintaining property compliance, health and safety testing schedules, legal certifications, and audit requirements across all sites.
Act as a key point of contact in the absence of the HS/FM Manager, liaising with staff, contractors, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.

We welcome applications from individuals who:

GCSE, or equivalent in Maths and English
Hold a full UK driving licence and able to travel to other locations
Are experienced in IT systems, particularly use of recording platforms, Word and Excel
Have strong communication skills and experience within facilities
