Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Advance Steel Draughtsperson to join our dynamic design team. Key Responsibilities:
Senior Level:
- Lead the technical approach for assigned packages or smaller projects.
- Provide expert technical judgment on connection detailing and erection sequencing.
- Review and check models and drawings produced by other team members to ensure accuracy.
- Drive continuous improvements in modelling standards and workflows.
- Mentor, coach, and support less experienced team members.
- Liaise directly with clients on technical queries.
Intermediate Level:
- Execute assigned modelling and drafting work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Identify design issues or missing information and escalate them appropriately.
- Consistently apply company standards and detailing practices.
- Collaborate with the senior design team on complex tasks and troubleshoot routine challenges.
What We Are Looking For:
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience using Autodesk Advance Steel within a structural and secondary steelwork environment.
- Autodesk Advance Steel Training Support: Comprehensive Autodesk Advance Steel training, retraining, or refresher courses available if required.
- A strong understanding of UK steel fabrication, connection design, and erection principles.
- Confidence attending sites (both local and nationwide), collaborating with engineers to carry out accurate site surveys.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with fabricators, engineers, and site teams.
- A proactive problem-solver with sharp attention to detail.
- The ability to manage your own workload and consistently meet project deadlines.
- A full UK driving licence.
