To deliver a structured workplace placement support programme for young people in 4 school's in West Cumbria, using the DNA-V model, helping participants build confidence, overcome barriers to employment, develop self-awareness, and successfully engage in workplace placements. The role involves facilitating group sessions, providing one-to-one support, conducting online check-ins, liaising with employers and education partners, and monitoring participant progress throughout the programme. Key Responsibilities
Programme Delivery
- Deliver DNA-V based sessions between September and May.
- Facilitate workshops focused on:
- Building trust and addressing placement concerns.
- Emotional awareness and self-regulation.
- Challenging unhelpful thinking patterns.
- Identifying values and motivations.
- Encouraging participation through real-world workplace experiences.
- Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Adapt content to meet individual participant needs.
- Provide check-in support for when they are on placement
Participant Support
- Conduct individual and group coaching sessions.
- Support young people to identify personal and professional goals.
- Help participants develop confidence, resilience, and problem-solving skills.
- Provide ongoing encouragement and pastoral support throughout placements.
- Support participants in creating action plans and personal development goals.
Placement Preparation
- Assist participants in exploring suitable placement opportunities.
- Support young people to narrow career interests and identify preferred pathways.
- Facilitate exercises such as goal-setting, career mapping, workplace preparation, and communication practice.
- Support participants to prepare for employer contact and workplace engagement.
Online Check-ins and Reviews
- Deliver regular online check-ins (20 to 30 minutes).
- Monitor confidence, wellbeing, attendance and progress.
- Celebrate achievements and recognise milestones.
- Address challenges and barriers to successful placement engagement.
- Use reflective practice techniques to support ongoing learning.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build positive relationships with employers, schools, colleges, parents/carers and partner agencies.
- Act as a point of contact for placement-related concerns.
- Promote effective communication between all stakeholders.
- Attend review meetings and provide progress updates.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Maintain accurate participant records.
- Collect and report outcome data.
- Monitor attendance, engagement and achievement.
- Evaluate programme impact against agreed success measures.
- Produce reports and case studies as required.
Pay: £27,417.00-£29,822.00 per year
