Full job description

We are seeking up to two experienced multi-skilled tradespersons with a background in fire door installation/remedials and/or fire stopping. This is a field-based role covering commercial and industrial sites — no construction sites — including retail parks, offices, and landmark buildings. Located in Dunmow, Essex.

You’ll work independently across various locations, carrying out high-quality passive fire protection and general multi-trade tasks (e.g., carpentry, painting, groundworks). Applicants from M&E backgrounds (plumbing/electrical) are welcome, provided they’re open to general duties outside their core trade.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday
8:00am to 16:30pm onsite

Responsibilities:

Fire door installation, adjustments, and compliance checks
Fire stopping works
General maintenance and multi-trade tasks
Working safely and professionally in occupied environments
Accurate documentation of completed work (photos, signatures, reports)
Company vehicle, fuel card, phone & uniform

Requirements:

Happy to travel/commute to far distances
Proven experience in at least one trade (carpentry, decorating, etc.)
Full UK driving licence
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Ability to work independently and flexibly
CSCS, PASMA, IPAF desirable but not essential

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
