Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a enthusiastic, motivated individual with a passion for food who is use to working solo. The ideal candidate will have a previous expereince in kitchen operations and meal preparation, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety standards.

As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in preparing and serving delicious food for breakfasts, for residents and non residents, afternoon teas, buffets for all occasions, 2-3 course meals for small functions that delight our guests while ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.

You will have sole ownership of the kitchen working closely with the Manger and front of house staff.

Duties

Prepare high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and menu specifications using local and fresh produce.
Overseeing the smooth runnign of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
Working closley with the Manager and commuicating with front of house staff
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a similar environment.
Good knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety practices.
Ability to work independantly
Organised and tidy with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
A passion for cooking

25 - 35 hour week. Any 5 days over 7, including weekends mainly mornings working from 7.30am cooking breakfast, prep for light bites, buffets etc

Hours will vary on business levels with overtime availalble

Perfect role for someone looking to join a small friendly team who is happy to work solo with assistance of the Manager and commincate with front of house who is looking for a work-life balance with few evening shifts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.75-£14.50 per hour
