An Exciting opportunities for motivated and organised individual to join our Chemotherapy Day Unit as a Ward Clerk working 28.8 hours Monday to Friday
We are looking for individuals who are patient focused, have excellent administrative and communication skills, and are able to work well as part of an integrated team. The ability to prioritise and organise workloads working very closely with the nursing team and multi disciplinary team.
The role is an active role supporting patient admissions, discharges , making appointments and follow up within Haematology, as well as booking chemotherapy
To work with limited supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing a clerical support service to medical and nursing staff at our busy chemotherapy day unit. To display sensitivity and tact in dealing with patients and relatives.
To have a responsible outlook in order to cope with the unpredictable nature of unit activity, using prioritising skills and discretion to organise a daily workload to take account of deadlines and degrees of urgency.
