Full job description

Are you a passionate and enthusiastic rehabilitation support worker?

Do you want to be part of an incredibly rewarding and person-centred approach to care?

If so, we are looking to grow Team Steps, where you will be caring for clients in their own homes and developing your skills as a rehabilitation support worker through our client specific training programmes - both online and in a bespoke classroom-based setting. When working independently with one of our clients, you will never be without assistance from us - thanks to our office team, who run a 24/7 on-call service.

The client is a lady in her 30s and suffered an acquired brain injury some years ago - she has a rigorous rehabilitation programme in place to help with her mobility and language. Alongside this, the client really enjoys music - performing her mixes as a DJ, at different functions.

In addition, the client enjoys keeping active through physio sessions; going to the gym; swimming and bike rides.

This role is based in Salisbury and surrounding areas.

Hours Available

We are looking for someone who can work Fridays, between 07:00-17:00 - we also have work with other clients, so overtime is always an option!

Responsibilities will include

· Arranging and supporting to attend appointments

· Meal preparation

· Support in accessing the community

. Assisting with the client's programme of rehabilitation

. Promote dignity, respect, and independence at all times.

. Good communication skills

Requirements for the position

· Acquired Brain Injury experience is preferred

· Six months health and social care experience is preferable; however, transferrable skills and personal experience will also be considered.
