MARCO, a globally recognised automation and technology company and part of the ATS Group, are looking for a dynamic Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Finance Team based in Edenbridge.
Offered on a part-time basis of three full days per week, this is a critical role within the department, ensuring that the business is promptly paid for the goods and services we provide, and providing cross-cover support to the wider Finance Team.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Processing, coding, and checking invoices to match against invoice requests and customer order requirements.
· Sending out customer statements as per customer requests and resolving discrepancies.
· Credit control responsibility, including generation of aged debtor reports and management of accounts receivable allocations into the bank.
· Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer details and account records.
· Assisting with month-end close and reporting activities incluiding accruals, FX revaluation and deferred income.
· Daily monitoring of the company bank accounts and receipting customer payments.
· Assisting with weekly reporting including cash flow forecasting and customer aging template.
· Webexpenses control, including management of credit card expenditure and also staff cash payments for mileage and travel.
Key skills & experience:
As part of a small team, the ability to provide cover for other team members, including accounts payable responsibilities, is imperative, as is a proactive attitude. You will also demonstrate:
· Proven experience in an accounts receivable role.
· Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
· Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the proven ability to meet deadlines effectively.
· Strong communication skills to liaise with customers and internal stakeholders, including confident and professional communication over the telephone.
· Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, with a proactive mindset and willingness to learn and grow in the role.
· Knowledge of basic accounting principles and understanding of purchase ledger processes.
An AAT qualification would be highly preferrable but is not essential, as would previous experience of JD Edwards.
