Full job description

Appointment Setter (South African English)

Are you an experienced appointment setter with excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage decision-makers over the phone?

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an Appointment Setter to support a campaign within the industrial machinery sector. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong business development or telesales experience who enjoys building rapport, handling objections and securing high-quality appointments.

Key Responsibilities

Contact prospective business clients by telephone.
Introduce industrial machinery solutions in a professional and engaging manner.
Build rapport with key decision-makers.
Handle objections confidently and professionally.
Qualify leads and secure appointments for the client's sales team.
Maintain accurate records of conversations and appointments.
Work towards agreed activity and appointment targets.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous experience in appointment setting, telesales, telemarketing or business development.
Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
Confidence handling objections and navigating conversations with senior decision-makers.
A proactive and resilient approach with the ability to work independently.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Experience using CRM systems is advantageous.

Language Requirements

This campaign is aimed at businesses in South Africa. Applicants must have native-level or fluent South African English communication skills, with pronunciation and communication that enables them to engage naturally and effectively with South African business contacts.
