The Role
As the Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operational management, quality, compliance and performance of our Supported Living services.
You will ensure services remain fully compliant with CQC regulations, deliver outstanding person-centred care, and provide inspirational leadership that enables both staff and service users to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Service Management
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the Supported Living services.
- Inspire, motivate and develop Team Leaders and Support Workers.
- Promote a positive, person-centred culture throughout the organisation.
- Oversee recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisals and performance management.
- Ensure staffing levels are safe, effective and compliant.
- Support workforce development and succession planning.
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain full compliance with CQC regulations and Fundamental Standards.
- Ensure services are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
- Prepare for and lead CQC inspections.
- Complete regular quality assurance audits and implement improvement plans.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and risks are effectively managed.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all policies and procedures are up to date.
Operational Management
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments and support documentation.
- Monitor incidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns.
- Ensure medication management systems comply with current legislation.
- Drive continuous service improvement and promote best practice.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and positive outcomes for service users.
Financial Management
- Manage service budgets effectively.
- Monitor expenditure and financial performance.
- Produce management reports and KPI data.
- Support sustainable service growth whilst maintaining high-quality care.
Partnership Working
Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with:
- Local Authorities
- Commissioners
- Integrated Care Boards (ICBs)
- Social Workers
- Healthcare Professionals
- Families and Advocates
- CQC Inspectors
Represent Aspect Supported Living professionally at meetings and external events.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within Supported Living, Residential Care or Adult Social Care.
- Eligible to register with the CQC (or currently registered).
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and Fundamental Standards.
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act and Health & Social Care legislation.
- Experience leading inspections, audits and quality assurance.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.

- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
- Experience using electronic care planning systems.
- Proven track record of achieving Good or Outstanding CQC ratings.
