We are seeking a PMO (Project Management Office) Coordinator to directly support our Project and Programme Managers in delivering the UK's next-generation 5G solution.
In this role, you will be the backbone of the project delivery team. You will maintain the administrative framework, tracking tools, and reporting structures that allow our Project delivery team to execute rollouts smoothly, on time, and within budget. Location and Travel
- Primary business location is Farnborough, Hampshire.
- Position is an on-site role, 5 days per week
- Travel within the UK may be required.
Key Responsibilities
● Project Tracking & Governance: Maintain and update project plans, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), and action trackers under the guidance of the Project Manager.
● Financial & Purchase Order Support: Assist with project financial tracking. Raise project related Purchase Orders (POs), track project budgets, and flag discrepancies.
● Reporting & Documentation: Coordinate the compilation of weekly and monthly progress reports. Ensure all project documentation (site designs, regulatory approvals, handover certificates) is accurately filed and version-controlled.
● Meeting Management: Schedule and facilitate project review meetings, take accurate minutes, and proactively chase action owners to ensure deadlines are met.
● Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a central point of contact for internal engineering teams, external equipment vendors, and site acquisition partners to gather status updates.
● Process Improvement: Assist the PMO Lead in refining project management templates, tools, and best practices to drive efficiency in project delivery.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
● Tech/Defence Industry Exposure: Previous experience working within a PMO or project support role, ideally within defence or, IT, or communications technology.
● Organisational Excellence: Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks across multiple moving project streams.
● Tool Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Zoho, MS Excel, SharePoint).
● Communication: Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with technical engineers, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
● Financial Literacy: Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and basic corporate finance processes (invoicing, POs).
Desirable
● Understanding of 5G radio access network architecture, technologies, and deployment methodologies.
● Familiar with delivering projects in Defence (UK MOD, NATO etc.) a strong plus.
● ITIL certification is not essential but desirable.
Please note that the post holder of this role should be able to get security clearance up to SC level
