Role Overview
Caice is seeking a proactive Procurement & Inventory Coordinator to support the effective flow of materials into manufacturing.
The role is responsible for procurement, supplier coordination and performance, inventory control, goods receipt activities and maintaining accurate system data to ensure Production has the materials required to operate efficiently.
Working closely with suppliers, warehouse personnel, Production and the wider Production Control team, you will play a key role in managing material availability, inventory accuracy and production readiness.
Procurement and Supplier Coordination
- Raise and manage purchase orders in line with production requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries, lead times and order progress.
- Help resolve material shortages and delivery problems.
- Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues where required.
- Request quotations and support purchasing decisions.
- Maintain accurate supplier, pricing and lead time information within company systems.
Materials Planning & Inventory Control
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels in line with production requirements.
- Conduct stock checks and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Proactively investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, inventory inaccuracies and material shortages.
- Coordinate stock replenishment activities and support the effective receipt of incoming deliveries.
- Coordinate customer-supplied (free issue) materials, ensuring accurate control and availability.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and material information.
- Ensure stock storage areas remain organised, clearly identified and maintained to agreed housekeeping standards.
Communication & Coordination
- Act as a key link between suppliers and internal departments, ensuring material requirements and supply issues are effectively managed.
- Work closely with Stores, Production, Logistics and Management teams to support material availability and production readiness.
- Coordinate actions relating to supplier issues, shortages and supply risks, driving timely resolution and ensuring stakeholders are kept informed.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date information is maintained within business systems to support operational decision-making.

Essential
- Experience in procurement, purchasing or inventory control.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and confidence working with suppliers and internal teams.
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Good standard of written and spoken English.
Desirable
- Experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with MRP, ERP or stock management systems.
- Experience coordinating suppliers and resolving supply or delivery issues.
- Understanding of inventory management and stock control principles.

Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
