Duties
- Safely operate delivery vans and commercial vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Plan efficient routes to ensure timely delivery of packages and goods
- Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling in warehouse settings
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and keep the vehicle in optimal condition
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and documentation for each shipment
- Assist with warehouse tasks when necessary, including inventory management and stock organization
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver certification is preferred
- Experience with warehouse operations and heavy lifting techniques
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps efficiently in different areas
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial driving and cargo handling
- Physical stamina for lifting heavy packages repeatedly throughout the day
