Lead QHSE Excellence in a Growing International Energy Business

REDA Energy is seeking an experienced QHSE Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across our Aberdeen operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving excellence in Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental performance, ensuring compliance, continuous improvement, and a strong safety-first culture throughout the organisation.

Reporting directly to the Technical Director, you will work closely with management teams across the Aberdeen locations to embed QHSE as a core business priority alongside operational performance and profitability.

This opportunity would suit a highly motivated QHSE professional who has proven experience operating as a QHSE Manager within an SME environment, ideally within the energy, oil & gas, chemical manufacturing, industrial services, engineering, or related sectors.

The Role

As QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and continuously improving REDA Energy's QHSE Management System whilst ensuring full compliance with UK legislation, industry standards and company policies.

You will act as the organisation's subject matter expert on all QHSE matters, partnering with managers and employees to promote a proactive culture of accountability, compliance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

Provide expert QHSE advice and guidance to management teams across the business.
Develop and implement QHSE policies, procedures and management systems.
Ensure QHSE objectives are aligned with business goals and operational performance.
Promote a positive safety culture and visible leadership throughout the organisation.
Facilitate management review meetings and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Support managers in delivering QHSE objectives and responsibilities.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with UK legislation, regulatory requirements and company standards.
Identify, assess and manage operational risks through robust risk assessment processes.
Monitor compliance through inspections, audits and workplace observations.
Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses and non-conformances, ensuring effective corrective and preventative actions.
Analyse incident trends and implement proactive improvement measures.
Maintain and control QHSE documentation and records.

Auditing & Management Systems

Lead internal and external audit programmes.
Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of QHSE Management Systems.
Monitor performance metrics and recommend improvements.
Verify compliance across all operational sites.

Training & Development

Oversee delivery of QHSE training programmes.
Maintain certification and training compliance records.
Coach and mentor managers and employees in QHSE best practices.
Ensure awareness of legislative and industry developments.

Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary point of contact for QHSE matters.
Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors and regulatory bodies.
Support supply chain compliance and contractor management.
Monitor customer satisfaction related to QHSE performance and service delivery.

Site Safety & Security

Support the maintenance of safe, secure and compliant facilities.
Conduct inspections and workplace assessments.
Ensure adherence to safe systems of work, PPE requirements and company procedures.
Promote excellent housekeeping and operational standards.
Lead emergency response preparedness and incident management activities.

About You

Essential Requirements

Significant experience working in a QHSE Manager role within an SME environment.
ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems experience.
Strong working knowledge of UK Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality legislation.
Proven experience developing and implementing QHSE management systems.
Experienced in conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations.
Strong risk assessment and compliance management experience.
Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
Excellent communication, coaching and leadership skills.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites as required.

Desirable

Experience within Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Energy, Manufacturing, Engineering or Industrial sectors.
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
Lead Auditor qualification.
Membership of IOSH, IEMA or similar professional body.

REDA Energy is an independent oilfield chemical supply company with operations and technical centers around the world, including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and North America. We specialise in solving production chemistry challenges within the Oil and Gas sector by collaborating with our clients, whilst drawing on our extensive experience and capability in this market segment. We custom formulate treatment packages and solutions for our customers which include demulsifiers, corrosion inhibitors, wax and asphaltene control, scale inhibition, antifoams, biocides, deoilers and a range of additives for drilling and cementing applications.

Pay: £40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
