Summary
We are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Supervisor to join our expanding team. This is a full-time, permanent position overseeing installation, service, and maintenance engineers across multiple sites in Hertfordshire, London, and the surrounding areas.
This is a working supervisory role. The successful candidate will not only supervise and support our engineering team but will also work alongside them, carrying out air conditioning installations, servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and repairs where required. This position is ideal for someone who leads by example, remains technically involved in day-to-day operations, and ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards while maintaining excellent relationships with our clients.
Salary: £45,000–£50,000 per year, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate air conditioning installation, service, and maintenance engineers.
- Work alongside the engineering team carrying out air conditioning installations, servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and repairs as required.
- Plan daily workloads and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Carry out site visits, quality inspections, and provide technical support where required.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Diagnose and assist with complex system faults and equipment repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with current Health & Safety legislation and industry standards.
- Liaise with project managers, clients, suppliers, and office staff to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Monitor engineer performance and provide mentoring and on-the-job training where needed.
- Maintain accurate job reports, service documentation, and compliance records.
- Manage materials, tools, and equipment efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Supervisor, Lead Engineer, or Senior HVAC Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of commercial air conditioning systems, including VRV/VRF, split, multi-split, and heat pump systems.
- Valid F-Gas Certification.
- Relevant HVAC qualifications.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
- Ability to work across Hertfordshire, London, and the surrounding areas.
- Willingness to be a working supervisor, undertaking installations, servicing, maintenance, and repairs alongside supervisory responsibilities.
