Our guests expect the very highest standards, and we're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and hands-on Assistant Accommodation Manager to help us deliver an outstanding experience every single day.
Working alongside the Accommodation Manager, you'll play a vital role in leading our housekeeping operation, ensuring every accommodation unit is beautifully presented and ready to welcome guests. This is a varied role that combines leadership, quality control, administration and hands-on support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example.
The Role
As Assistant Accommodation Manager, you'll support the day-to-day running of the Accommodation Department and take full responsibility for the operation in the Accommodation Manager's absence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the daily management of our housekeeping operation across luxury lodges, safari tents, pods and glamping accommodation.
- Leading by example by assisting with cleaning, changeovers, inspections and quality checks when required.
- Ensuring all accommodation is cleaned, presented and maintained to our 5-star standards ahead of every guest arrival.
- Carrying out regular accommodation inspections and maintaining a robust quality audit programme.
- Planning and coordinating deep cleans throughout the year to ensure accommodation remains in exceptional condition.
- Supporting the recruitment, training and development of the housekeeping team, helping to build a positive and motivated working environment.
- Continually reviewing working practices to improve efficiency, productivity and the overall guest experience.
- Managing accommodation inventory and stock levels, ensuring every lodge is fully equipped and presented correctly.
- Liaising closely with the Maintenance Team to report and follow up on any defects or maintenance issues to ensure they're resolved promptly.
- Working with suppliers and contractors to ensure services are delivered efficiently and professionally.
- Responding to guest feedback, complaints and housekeeping queries in a professional, empathetic and solution-focused manner.
- Ensuring all equipment is maintained to a safe working standard and highlighting any issues promptly.
- Ensuring all company policies, procedures, Health & Safety and COSHH regulations are followed at all times.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience within housekeeping or accommodation management, ideally within hospitality, hotels or holiday parks.
- Has experience supervising or leading a team.
- Has exceptional attention to detail and takes pride in delivering consistently high standards.
- Is highly organised and able to prioritise effectively during busy changeover days.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is confident dealing with guest enquiries and resolving issues professionally.
- Is proactive, reliable and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.
- Is flexible and able to work weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota.
