Mobile Electrical Engineer

Hours of work: 40 (Monday - Friday)

We are seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer to report to the Regional Facilities Manager and deliver high-quality building maintenance services across a portfolio of client properties within the designated region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of critical building systems through fault finding, repairs, routine maintenance, and installation work.
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer with experience in reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) within commercial properties.
This role requires a customer-focused professional who can provide electrical and building services maintenance while maintaining high standards of service delivery and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical fault finding, repairs, maintenance, and installation work across client properties.
- Complete electrical PPM activities and reactive maintenance tasks issued through the helpdesk within agreed timeframes.
- Undertake building services maintenance tasks including fabric, HVAC, mechanical, and related works.
- Monitor contractors and their workmanship to ensure required standards are achieved.
- Issue and manage Permits to Work in accordance with site requirements.
- Ensure all electrical equipment within scope operates to specified performance criteria.
- Maintain equipment and surrounding work areas in line with agreed company standards and deliver a professional service that ensures customer satisfaction.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience delivering reactive and PPM building services maintenance.
- Experience working within Facilities Management (FM) or building services in commercial properties.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Essential Qualifications
- NVQ 2356 / 2357 and NVQ 2356 AM2
- OR
- City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation and AM1 & AM2
OR
- City & Guilds 2360/236 In Electrical Installations Part 1 & 2
AND
- 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
- Full UK Driving Licence (ISS van provided).Preferred Qualifications
- Recognised electrical apprenticeship.
- City & Guilds or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification (2394/2395).
- JIB Accreditation.
- IPAF and/or PASMA certification.
