Trainee Audio Visual (AV) Engineer
Location: West Yorkshire (Nationwide travel required)
We are looking for a Trainee Audio Visual Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone practical, motivated, and keen to build a career in the AV industry.
You will assist in the installation of AV systems across the education and commercial sectors, working on projects ranging from small installations to large-scale nationwide deployments.
What you’ll be doing
- Assisting with 1st and 2nd fix installations
- Installing and setting up:
- Touchscreens, projectors, and sound systems
- Video walls and conferencing systems
- Data cabling and AV infrastructure
- Reading and working from schematics and technical drawings
- Supporting senior engineers on-site
- Working both independently and as part of a team
What we’re looking for
Essential:
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good attention to detail
- Positive attitude and reliability
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work on-site and travel when required
Desirable (not essential):
- Any experience in AV, electrical, IT, or construction
- Understanding of AV equipment or cabling
- Experience reading drawings or schematics
Requirements (for permanent role progression)
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Willingness to obtain:
- CSCS/ECS card
- Enhanced DBS check
Working pattern
- Based mainly in Yorkshire with nationwide travel
- Flexible working hours Mon - Fri (early starts and late finishes required)

Pay: £22,600.00-£26,500.00 per year
