Join a Family Business with an Exciting Future
At KC Hire & Events Ltd, we're proud to be a family-run business based just outside Thirsk in the heart of North Yorkshire. We provide portable toilets, luxury toilet trailers and welfare facilities for some of the North of England's biggest festivals, sporting events, weddings, outdoor shows and construction projects.
Following our recent acquisition and new ownership, we're starting an exciting new chapter. We're looking for good people who want to be part of building something together, where hard work is appreciated, everyone mucks in and no two days are ever the same.
If you're looking for a varied, hands-on role with a friendly team and the opportunity to grow with the business, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As a Delivery Service Technician / Yard Operative, you'll play a key role in ensuring our equipment is delivered, serviced and maintained to the highest standard. You'll split your time between our yard, customer sites and event locations, helping us build a reputation for excellent customer service.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in a job well done and isn't afraid to get stuck in.

- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe yard and workshop environment.
- Participating in daily team briefings and following all health and safety procedures.
- Representing KC Hire & Events Ltd professionally when working on customer sites and at events.
The Ideal Candidate
You'll have a positive, can-do attitude, excellent timekeeping and a strong work ethic. You'll be practical, reliable and enjoy working in a physically active outdoor role. You'll be able to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team and remain calm under pressure, particularly during our busy event season. Good communication skills and a professional approach are essential, as you'll regularly be working with customers and representing the business.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
