Overview
We are seeking a reliable and organised Van Driver & Office Administrator to join our team. This dual-role position involves delivering goods efficiently while providing essential administrative support within our office. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to managing daily tasks. This role offers an engaging opportunity for individuals looking to utilise their driving experience alongside administrative capabilities in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Safely operate company vans for the timely delivery of goods to clients and suppliers across designated routes
Maintain accurate delivery logs and ensure all documentation is completed correctly
Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting when necessary
Manage incoming calls, organise appointments, and handle correspondence to support office operations
Keep the office organised by maintaining supplies and managing filing systems
Coordinate with warehouse staff regarding stock levels and inventory management
Ensure vehicle maintenance schedules are adhered to, reporting any issues promptly
Support ad hoc administrative tasks as required to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role, with a valid UK driver’s licence
Experience in commercial driving and familiarity with vehicle safety regulations
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for liaising with team members and clients
Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling when required
Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations within the area
