We are recruiting a General Manager to lead our fabulous team in an amazing premium pub.

Acquired by Hall & Woodhouse in February 2022, the Royal Lion is a beautiful coaching inn dating from 1601, a remarkable hidden gem within 100 yards of the fabulous beach at Lyme Regis. Situated in a bustling street it's the perfect base for tourists exploring the stunning Jurassic coast, and for locals to relax and enjoy great food and drink couched in warm Hall & Woodhouse hospitality. The hotel offers a full range of guest facilities for short breaks or events with options for relaxed and more formal dining; and 33 individually styled rooms to make any stay at the Royal Lion truly memorable.

What you'll need to be:

An experienced GM with great leadership capability within branded hospitality
Comfortable with the extra operational challenges of seasonal trade and letting rooms
Competent in kitchen oversight and the control of food production
Based in the local, area or planning to re-locate
An expert in quality food and drink, with high attention to detail
A strategic commercially minded operator with experience growing hospitality businesses
Diligent with brand standards and processes
Well-presented, analytical and proactive in problem-solving
Able to commit for the long term
Determined to develop and maintain outstanding hospitality for our guests
A natural host who loves making people's day
