Overview

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble a variety of food items with precision and care, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards
Assist in butchery tasks, including cutting, trimming, and portioning meats to meet quality specifications
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
Support food production processes by following proper food preparation techniques and safety protocols
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods and uphold high standards of food quality
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when stock needs replenishing
Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment

Skills

Proven experience in food production, culinary arts, or restaurant kitchens with a focus on quality and efficiency
Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper handling procedures
Hands-on experience in food preparation, including butchery skills for meat processing
Familiarity with kitchen equipment, tools, and techniques used in professional food environments
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively under pressure
Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable for success in this role
