Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Painter/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with painting projects and general labour tasks on-site. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team. This position offers valuable experience in domestic painting and labouring, with opportunities for skill development and career progression.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as required
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment on-site
- Support the team in various construction tasks including site clearance and material movement
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress and requirements
- Operate vehicles such as vans when necessary for transportation of materials
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence is essential
- Experience in construction painting or related trades is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Good command of English language for effective communication on-site
- Strong communication skills to coordinate tasks efficiently within the team
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to undertake physical labour including lifting and standing for extended periods
