About Us
We’re a busy riding school in South West London with a on-site café at the heart of our yard. We’re looking for a versatile, hard-working addition to our team who is just as happy behind a coffee machine as they are out on the yard with our horses.
The Opportunity
This is a genuinely hybrid role, perfect for someone with café or barista experience who also loves being outdoors and around horses. You’ll split your time between our yard and our café – working weekends serving our customers in the café, and weekdays working alongside our horses on the yard. Equine experience is a bonus rather than a requirement – full training is provided, including support towards British Horse Society qualifications.
On the Yard
- Mucking out, tacking up and grooming
- Keeping the yard clean, tidy and safe
- Haying and feeding
- Helping to exercise the horses – lunging and riding
- Clipping and trimming
In the Café
- Making a range of hot and cold drinks
- Preparing paninis, sandwiches and light lunches
- Serving snacks and pastries
- Processing payments and till duties
- Completing stock takes
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working in a café, restaurant or similar hospitality environment
- Confidence using a coffee machine and preparing basic food and drink
- Some equine experience is preferred, but full training will be given to the right person
- A hard-working, flexible team player who is happy to get stuck in, indoors and out
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weathers
- Available to work weekend as standard
Working Hours
You will be required to work the following days and hours:
- Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 8:30am – 6:00pm
- Saturday & Sunday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
- Days off: Monday & Thursday
