Overview

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a friendly, professional manner
Scan items accurately and process transactions swiftly using point-of-sale (POS) systems
Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, ensuring correct change is given
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area to promote a positive shopping environment
Answer customer questions about products, store policies, or services clearly and confidently
Assist in stock replenishment and inventory management to ensure product availability
Follow all security procedures to prevent theft and ensure safe cash handling practices

Skills

Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse customers effectively
Previous experience in financial services or retail is a plus but not required; training will be provided
Ability to stay energetic and attentive during busy periods while maintaining professionalism
Reliable team player with a proactive attitude toward customer service excellence
