About the Role
As a Nuclear Security Officer, you'll be part of a professional team responsible for keeping people, property, and assets safe. No two days are the same, and you'll play an important role in creating a secure environment for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Your duties will include:
Welcoming, assisting and managing access for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Conducting security checks, vehicle inspections and pass verification.
Carrying out site patrols using security systems and vehicles where required.
Responding professionally to incidents and emergencies.
Maintaining accurate records and incident reports.
Working closely with colleagues, emergency services, and security partners to maintain site safety.
Ensuring security procedures and regulatory requirements are followed.
This role combines customer service, teamwork, problem-solving, and security responsibilities, making it ideal for individuals who enjoy working with people whilst maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
Who We're Looking For

You may be suitable if you have:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to remain calm under pressure.
A commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Good attention to detail.
A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Previous security experience (desirable but not essential).
A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
SIA licensing and security clearance support can be provided where required.
Shift Pattern
4 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern
2 x 12-hour day shifts
2 x 12-hour night shifts
4 days off
Includes weekends and public holidays.
