Outpatient Clinic Coordinator, at West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven, Band 3, 37.5 hours per week available

North Cumbria University Hospitals NHS Trust is at a truly exciting time of transformation. Through our Trust Strategy we will achieve the delivery of safe, accessible, high quality and sustainable healthcare services in North Cumbria for the next generation.

The Trust provides a comprehensive range of general acute hospital services; we are currently working with the Commissioners to help develop a comprehensive service for the whole of Cumbria, which will work cooperatively with other providers in the area.

To work as a member of a flexible team, ensuring all out-patient reception areas are manned at all times. The role involves welcoming patients, carers, relatives and visitors into the new Community Diagnostic Centre by acting as the first point of contact for patients attending the Trust.

The post holder will undertake timely validation of patients’ key demographics and information, accurately record the outcome of the appointment and make return appointments as directed by clinicians.

This role is vital to support patient safety and Trust income.
