Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Level 3 Motor Vehicle Technician to join our small team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that every vehicle leaving our garage meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and quality.
Working hours will be Monday - Friday. Wages are negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex diagnostics using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to execute repairs efficiently.
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systems effectively.
- Carry out heavy lifting tasks safely when handling vehicle components or parts during repairs or maintenance.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including parts used and procedures followed.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Level 3 Motor Vehicle Technician or equivalent role within an automotive repair environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across a broad spectrum of vehicle systems and components.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques for vehicle repairs.
- Experience performing maintenance tasks such as fluid changes, brake replacements, engine diagnostics, and equipment repair.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced workshop setting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Carrying out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised)
Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
