Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Architectural Technologist to join our innovative design team. Responsibilities
- Develop detailed architectural drawings, models, and construction documents using CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
- Utilize 3D modeling tools like SketchUp and Rhinoceros 3D to visualize design concepts and assist in client presentations.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design intent is accurately translated into construction plans.
- Prepare material specifications, schedules, and technical reports that support project development.
- Review design proposals for compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
- Assist in project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and progress tracking to ensure timely delivery.
- Support construction teams by providing technical guidance during on-site inspections and resolving design-related issues.
Experience
- Proven experience working as an Architectural Technologist or similar role within architectural or construction firms.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit is essential; experience with SketchUp, Rhinoceros 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of building codes, construction processes, and technical detailing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Hands-on construction experience is a plus, providing practical insight into building methods and materials.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and presenting ideas clearly.
