Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Chef/Front of House to join our dynamic team. This role combines culinary expertise with excellent customer service skills as some bar work is required. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, and providing exceptional service in a welcoming environment. Previous restaurant experience and a passion for food are essential to thrive in this role.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following established recipes and presentation standards
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery during busy service periods
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders and delivering food with professionalism
Ensure all food served meets quality standards and presentation expectations
Support the team during service hours, including handling customer enquiries and managing table reservations if required
Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper handling of ingredients and equipment

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with guests and team members
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Previous experience in serving or front-of-house roles is essential
A genuine passion for culinary arts and delivering outstanding customer service

The hours/shifts are one weekend per month plus every Friday in the kitchen, also regular bar shifts are available.

Pay: £24,420.00-£42,157.88 per year
