Overview
Are you a confident relationship-builder with a passion for inspiring others and making a real difference for animals in need? We’re looking for a proactive and creative individual to join our team as a Community Fundraising & Partnerships Manager — playing a vital role in growing the support that powers our work.

This role is all about connecting people with purpose. You’ll lead the development of community fundraising, build meaningful partnerships with local businesses, and create engaging campaigns and events that inspire support and drive income. Working at the heart of our income generation strategy, you’ll help secure vital funding that directly supports the care and future of the animals who rely on us. RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Fundraising & Engagement

Create and grow community fundraising activity, inspiring individuals, groups and local organisations to support RSPCA Woodside.
Design and deliver engaging community fundraising campaigns that drive participation, income and awareness.
Lead and deliver a programme of community and fundraising events, ensuring strong return on investment and a positive supporter experience.
Recruit, support and work alongside volunteers to maximise fundraising activity and community reach.

Supporter Stewardship & Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with supporters, ensuring they feel valued, informed and motivated to continue their involvement.
Provide excellent stewardship to all supporters, including regular communication, updates and recognition of their contributions.
Maintain an active pipeline of fundraising opportunities, tracking progress and identifying opportunities for growth.

Corporate Partnerships

Identify, develop and manage relationships with local businesses, securing financial and in‑kind support.
Build long‑term, mutually beneficial partnerships that contribute to income targets and raise awareness of the charity.

Income Generation Strategy & Performance

Work closely with the Head of Income Generation to support the delivery of departmental objectives, budgets and long‑term income plans.
Work to agreed income targets and contribute to the development and delivery of the Income Generation Plan.
Report regularly on income performance, supporter engagement and future pipeline to support accurate forecasting and strategic decision‑making.
Monitor trends, insights and opportunities across the fundraising landscape to inform planning and innovation.

Cross‑Team Collaboration

Work closely with colleagues across the organisation to align messaging, share insights and maximise fundraising opportunities.
Ensure fundraising activity reflects and supports the wider organisational strategy and priorities.

Compliance, Standards & Best Practice

Ensure all fundraising activity is compliant with relevant regulations, guidelines and internal policies.
Uphold and champion the charity’s values, ensuring high standards of professionalism, transparency and supporter care.
Continuously review and improve processes to maintain best practice and support the charity’s reputation and effectiveness.

Planning, Performance & Delivery

Plan, prioritise and organise workload to ensure the effective and efficient running of your designated area of responsibility.
Work to functional plans and agreed KPIs, contributing to departmental objectives and overall income generation performance.
Operate in line with agreed budgets and targets, supporting accurate forecasting and financial accountability.
Contribute to continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, efficiency and supporter experience.

Leadership, Culture & Values

Create and contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive working environment.
Model and champion the organisational values in all interactions and decision‑making.
Build and develop volunteer support to enhance service delivery and fundraising performance.

Compliance, Governance & Best Practice

Work in accordance with all Health & Safety procedures, rules and regulations set out by RSPCA Woodside.
Ensure robust adherence to GDPR, safeguarding requirements, and all legal, regulatory and internal policies relevant to the charity and the wider RSPCA Society.
Support the maintenance of a strong assurance framework, ensuring compliance is embedded across all activities.

Learning & Development

Take responsibility for your own professional development, completing all mandatory and role‑specific training within agreed deadlines.

Actively seek opportunities to develop skills, knowledge and expertise that support the role and wider organisational goals.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Experience & Knowledge

Proven experience in community fundraising, supporter engagement or a related income‑generation role.
Experience building and managing relationships with individuals, community groups and/or corporate partners.
Experience planning and delivering successful fundraising events or campaigns.
Experience working with volunteers or community groups to support fundraising activity.
Good understanding of fundraising principles, supporter stewardship and ethical fundraising practice.

Skills & Abilities

Strong communication skills, with the ability to inspire, influence and engage a wide range of audiences.
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
Proactive and self‑motivated, with a results‑driven approach to income generation.
Confident networker, comfortable representing the charity within the community and building new connections.
Strong IT skills, including the use of databases, CRM systems and reporting tools.
Ability to remain calm, adaptable and solution‑focused in a fast‑paced environment.

Personal Qualities

High integrity, with a strong commitment to ethical fundraising, transparency and good governance.
Commitment to personal development and continuous learning.

Positive, collaborative and resilient, with a willingness to contribute to a supportive team culture.
