We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Coffee Shop Assistant to join our brand-new soft play café.
Kinder Village Café is a welcoming family café and soft play space, designed for children and families to enjoy. We are looking for someone who can provide excellent customer service, prepare drinks and light food, and help keep the café clean, organised and inviting.
The role will include:
Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks, including coffees
Serving light food such as sandwiches, paninis, cakes and snacks
Taking customer orders and handling payments
Keeping the café and seating areas clean and tidy
Supporting with stock rotation and basic food hygiene duties
Creating a warm and welcoming environment for families
Helping the team during busy periods and children’s parties/events
Following health, safety and food hygiene procedures at all times
The ideal candidate will be:
Friendly, confident and approachable
Reliable, punctual and well-presented
Comfortable working around children and families
Able to work well under pressure in a busy café environment
A good team player with a positive attitude
Experienced in café, hospitality or customer service work
Barista experience would be preferred, but not essential
Requirements:
Previous café, hospitality or customer service experience preferred
Food hygiene knowledge preferred
Must be able to work weekends when required
Must be willing to follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures
Enhanced DBS check may be required due to the setting being child-focused
