Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Fence Erector to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of fences across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. Your expertise will help ensure safety, privacy, and aesthetic appeal for our clients. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine fencing requirements and layout
- Measure and mark fence lines accurately to ensure proper placement and alignment
- Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to cut, assemble, and install fencing materials such as wood, vinyl, chain link, or metal panels
- Dig post holes using post-hole diggers or augers, ensuring stability and proper depth according to safety standards
- Secure fencing components with nails, screws, welding techniques or other fasteners as needed
- Coordinate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining safety protocols
- Conduct routine inspections of installed fences for quality assurance and perform repairs or adjustments as necessary
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry, masonry, welding or related construction trades is highly desirable
- Familiarity with roofing, plumbing, electrical work or construction painting is a plus but not required
- Ability to operate hand tools such as hammers, saws, levels and measuring tapes effectively
- Proficiency with power tools including drills, grinders and post-hole diggers
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques for customizing fencing materials when needed
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards throughout all phases of installation
