Housekeeper/Laundry required 17.5 hours per week.
Suit school hours, with a 9:00 start (9:00-12:30) Monday to Friday but may include weekends
Duties to include:
To manage the laundry procedures and make sure there is no unnecessary build up of laundry.
To change bedding, clean mattresses and report any damaged mattresses
To ensure that bundles of laundry are identified for loading into the washer and dryer.
To ensure a regular supply of detergent and fabric conditioner.
To be responsible for the maintenance of laundry equipment, reporting any problems to the Manager & Maintenance
To ensure that the correct procedure is used regarding soiled and infectious linen.
To distribute clothes into the client’s rooms.
To ensure the marking of client’s clothes is correct.
To keep the laundry room and store area in a clean and hygienic condition.
To be responsible for the general hygiene of the home.
To contribute actively to the quality of domestic life in the Home.
To perform other such reasonable duties as may be required.
Staff to follow safeguarding procedures under The Care Act 2014 and adhere to the 6 core principles of safeguarding and the Making Safeguarding Personal Framework. Staff must also work within guidelines of the Disclosure Act 1998.
Will be required to work bank holidays including Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
