The welder’s role is welding both HVAC products and specialist ventilation system products for safety critical facilities. This role requires a combination of technical expertise & precision across various product types/materials. This role reports directly to production supervision & sits within the operational level of the business.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Carry out all duties in accordance with weekly plans.
Perform welding tasks on both stainless steel & carbon steel HVAC products ranging from 1.5mm to 10mm.
Complete general welding duties associated with all product types (Folded & Welded) in accordance with welding procedures.
Complete weld repair activities in accordance with welding procedures.
Understand & comply with associated welding standards.
Assist & support sheet metal workers during tacking tasks during manufacture.
Complete basic fabrication tasks to support manufacture.
Comply in full with manufacturing SHEQ best practice/ behaviours and legislation.
Support the manufacturing team in achieving deliverables.

Show your expertise

Experienced qualified coded welder.
Experience welding both stainless steel & carbon steels ranging from 1.5mm to 10mm.
Experience with both Tig & Mag welding processes.
Basic knowledge to interpret manufacturing drawings and engineering information.
Basic fabrication knowledge to support manufacturing assembly.
Basic knowledge in using a variety of power/hand tools.
Overhead crane Experience (training will be provided).
Self-motivated and capable of working on own initiative & with others safely & efficiently.

Highly Desirable (but Not Essential)

HVAC Experience.
Nuclear Quality related Experience
