Qualified Pharmacy Assistant - Wigan, Job Ref: 11717

11717 – 40 hour - Qualified Pharmacy Assistant – 12 month fixed term contract

We are looking to recruit a 40 hour Qualified Pharmacy Assistant on a 12 month fixed term contract to work across our Wigan, Atherton and Chorley branches as a relief dispenser, covering sickness absence and annual leave.

The proposed shift pattern is:

Monday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Tuesday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Wednesday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Thursday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Friday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)

As a Qualified Pharmacy Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the business in providing an efficient, knowledgeable and friendly service to our customers, with specific responsibility for providing support with the dispensing and labelling of prescription items.

Additional responsibilities will include receiving prescriptions and handing out prescription items and assisting with the ordering and management of stock levels within the dispensary.

NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services is essential; skills in planning, attention to detail and working under pressure are all required.

The successful candidate must have great people skills as this is paramount to your role. You will be required to work as part of a well-established team and ensure our customers receive a high standard of service.

The successful candidate will be expected to work to the needs of the business across the region covering sickness absence, annual leave etc. and must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle.
