We're looking for a General Foreman to join our East West Rail team in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects, helping to create a new rail link between Oxford, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Cambridge.
Working closely with site teams and project stakeholders, you'll help deliver works safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. You'll also support the development of a collaborative, high-performing team culture while preparing the project for future civils and programme delivery works.
Location: St Neots, Cambridgeshire
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

What will you be responsible for?
As a General Foreman on our East West Rail project, you'll play a key role in leading site teams and ensuring work is delivered safely on time and within budget.
Your day to day will include:
- Supervising and coordinating site teams, providing clear direction on work priorities
- Planning operations to deliver safe systems of work and promoting a strong safety culture through toolbox talks and site inspections
- Coordinating labour, equipment, and materials to meet project milestones
- Monitoring costs and resources, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions
- Ensuring work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and standards while minimising waste and downtime
What are we looking for?
This role of General Foreman is ideal if you:
- Have experience leading site teams on construction or civil engineering projects.
- Understand CDM Regulations and always put safety first on site.
- Can organise labour, plant and materials to keep work running smoothly.
- Have experience tracking progress and helping projects stay on schedule and within budget.
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues, clients and subcontractor
